Discover these Events Hosted by the ABC* Zonta Club

Hello Everyone! The ABC (Akron-Barberton-Cuyahoga Falls Area Zonta Club is decorating the Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron, for its annual Happy Birthday, Jesus! celebration on December 7th. On November 25^th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Barberton Mayor William B. Judge joined Dr. Angela Brake, President of Zonta ABC, to illuminate the Barberton Municipal Building in orange, signaling a call to action to end violence against women.

Earlier, in November, the club partnered with the medical residents & fellows in the OB/GYN program at Cleveland Clinic/Akron General to collect feminine hygiene products to call attention to Period Poverty. Also, it made over 60 hygiene bags to donate to Access Shelter, Harvest Home, and Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center. Dr. Jennifer Savitski and I decided this is the first annual event and declared it to be a built partnership to continue each year. We also got a tour of their State of the Art, Women’s Center. Newark Zonta Club’s Tour of Homes

Hello from Zonta Club of Newark’s Ashley Hamman! One of our favorite activities is the Christmas Tour of Homes. We get volunteers to open their houses to us and the community. We sell tickets and usually have no less than 6 houses to view. Since it a house tour, it is a very low expense fundraiser for the club. And, we are able to donate over $6,000 to a beneficiary! This is just one of the many charitable events we do to assist our community’s women and girls in achieving their best potentials!  Contact me for more info about our vibrant club! ashleyhamann23@gmail.com
