In 2019, members of Zonta Club of Toledo I introduced the idea of establishing the Convention for Eliminating All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) Commission in Toledo. As a result of Zonta’s hard work and networking with other community-based organizations and elected officials, the City of Toledo established the Toledo CEDAW Gender Equity Commission in 2023. The Commission’s mission is to address discrimination against women and girls and other minoritized genders. Learn how your Zonta club could take action for gender equality in your communities.
